EDUCATION—INFORMATION—NETWORKING The Heartland Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) was established in Emporia, Kansas in June of 1993. Administrative Professionals from Coffey, Osage and Lyon Counties gathered to start a chapter in an organization that would provide ongoing education in their career, their home life, and a balance of the two. Heartland Chapter members are strongly committed to professional excellence and, as a result, has seen its officers and members attend local, state, district and International educational activities in the inland states, Hawaii and Canada. Currently, Martha Leek, one of the Heartland Chapter members serve on the KS Division Board.
